Karen understands that safe, reliable roads are vital for families, first responders, and local businesses. As County Judge, she’ll make infrastructure a top priority, ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently to repair and maintain county roads, improve drainage, and plan responsibly for Midland’s future growth. She’ll ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and built to last.
Protecting Taxpayers and Demanding Accountability
As Tax Assessor-Collector, Karen built a reputation for running a transparent, fiscally responsible office. She’ll bring that same approach to the Commissioner's Court – evaluating every budget item to eliminate waste, prevent unnecessary spending, and ensure every dollar serves Midland County residents. Midland taxpayers deserve a government that respects their hard-earned money and earns the public’s trust.
Supporting Law Enforcement and Public Safety
A safe community is a strong community. Karen will stand firmly with law enforcement and first responders, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to keep our neighborhoods secure. She’ll work to strengthen emergency services and support policies that protect our families and uphold the rule of law. From improving emergency response times to keeping neighborhoods safe, Karen believes public safety must always come first.

Having modernized and streamlined the Tax Office, Karen has a proven record of making government work better for the people. As County Judge, she’ll apply that same hands-on leadership to make every county department more efficient – cutting red tape, improving service delivery, and holding departments accountable for performance.
